At Normando Vision, we understand that encountering flashes and floaters in your vision can be a concerning experience. 

Floaters manifest as small, elusive shapes that drift through your field of vision, resembling spots, strands, or cobweb-like figures. They become especially noticeable when looking at a bright, plain surface, resulting from tiny fragments of the vitreous—the gel-like substance filling the eye's interior—detaching and floating within the eye, casting shadows on the retina.

Flashes, on the other hand, present as brief streaks or flashes of light, primarily seen in the corners of your vision. These occur when the vitreous gel shifts or contracts, tugging on the retina. Such phenomena are more prevalent as we age, due to the natural liquification process of the vitreous gel.
